Well, Sorry for not posting for about 10 days.. Nothing exciting was happening! We were awaiting our first ultrasound to ensure the Lupron drug had completely shut down my ovaries and thinned out my lining.

SO, that ultrasound was on Wednesday and all is clear! We dropped down to 5 units of Lupron now and this is only to keep me shutdown until we begin our ovulatory drugs (aka stims) next Friday. Can you believe that? We will start our stims in 8 days. It will take approximately 10 days to develop my eggs for transfer. They will then trigger at around day 10 and then 36 hours later they will do retrieval of my eggs and allow for fertilization outside the womb. Once they fertilize, we will transfer our embryos back at either 3 days after retrieval or 5 days after the retrieval.

Well, again, not much exciting happening! My emotions are calming down a bit since my dose got lowered. But, it's still hard being a walking, talking hormone with nothing to show for it.

On a side note, I have been very ill this week. It's either an upper respiratory infection or the flu. Either way, my family doctor put me on an antibiotic even though things looked clear. I don't have a fever.. just really bad congestion and chills and a sore throat. I sound and feel awful, but I'll get better! I just don't want to screw up the IVF.
