Aren't needles fun?
Well, just wanted to post a funny.
I did my Lupron shot. It's a 28 gauge 1/2 cc diabetic insulin needle for medical terms. That means the needle is about as round as a very fine tip ink pen at best and the needle is about a 1/2" long. The syringe part is about 4 inches long and I inject a whole 1/4" of medicine into my belly.
Well, Charley happened to see this one. Usually I do them while he's at work or bowling, so he's never caught in on the action. He saw the little bitty needle and about passed out. I starte laughing hysterically. This needle is TINY compared to the 1 1/2" needle the size of a ball point pen that will be injected in my behind for up to 4-5 weeks!
And, he's so scared of needles, that he won't be doing those. Thank goodness for Mom! Or else, I'd have to find a good friend, nurse, or pay someone to give me that shot. The best part is.. he has 4 tattoos. How do you get 4 tattoos and then you can't even look at a needle? Beyond me. I guess after Crohn's and infertility, I'm getting used to needles!
