One more hurdle...One more leap over...

Yep, another hiccup in our road to infertility. Apparently, last week, I began coming down with an upper respiratory infection. Because of the Remicade I recieve for my Crohn's, they caught the infection early and put me on an antibiotic, ammoxicillin. Little did I know, most Crohn's people cannot tolerate antibiotics for bacterial infections (I've take antibiotics for fungal infections for Crohn's) and just 10 days after my last Remicade treatment I was back at the colon surgeon with a swollen rectum and 2 fissures. SOOO, out the office I went with more prescriptions.

The good news?
Yes, there is some. I should be fine to continue with IVF.

The hurdle?
Oh yes, would my life be normal without hurdles to leap over? So, you are supposed to take antibiotics with IVF (both husband and wife) because they don't want to kill his sperm count and they don't want me to get an infection around retrieval or transfer. So, off to call Dr. Gentry's office. Luckily, they just called back and said I (Charley will take his) don't need to take the antibiotic because it will cause more harm than good and that I just need to monitor my temperature starting Friday.

Can you believe it? We start our ovulatory drugs on Friday! AND, our retrieval is tentatively set for 2 WEEKS from today! I can't believe it's getting here so quickly. Can't wait to post a postive pregnancy test for all to see.. of course.. Charley and my parents will know before anyone! Sorry, it's only fair.
