Going Strong!
Well, I haven't posted much as it's been an eventful few days.
Tuesday was our retrieval and it went well. Wednesday I took the day off and was sore, but okay. Wednesday evening I was feeling short of breathe and since Tuesday I had been extremely nauseated, but thought not too much of it. On Thursday, I decided to go back to work, within 20 minutes, I walked to my mom's office and I was just completely out of breathe and the nausea was just horrible. I had been on nausea meds, so I just couldn't fathom why I was still having trouble. So, she told me to call the doctor. I did and they brought me right in.
I felt and looked awful. Dr. Gentry examined me. I thought I was going to pass out any minute. My blood pressure was high (for me) and they gave me Zofran (a stronger nausea medication) and sent me for a chest x-ray and bloodwork at the hospital and then home to rest until after transfer.
Today, I'm feeling better but no my Crohn's is being affected by all the medications (I'm sure you all know what anthesia, pain meds, and progesterone can do to your bowels!). I'm still sore today and the nausea stays away as long as I'm taking the Zofran every 6 hours.
But, the great news is that out of 14 mature eggs, we had 10 embryos fertilize. Of the 10 fertilized, as of today (3 days later) we STILL have 10 embryos going strong!
I will keep you posted on how everything goes! This cycle is looking SOO much better!
