We're still PREGNANT! :)
Yes, it's true! We are STILL pregnant!
Our beta levels went from 492 to 980 on Saturday to 2208 on Monday. They are supposed to double in 24-72 hours, so we are right on track. My progesterone is still staying VERY elevated at over 200. That is good!
They set our viability scan/ultrasound for February 26th!
We can't wait! This is when we will find out how many babies we are going to have! We should see their heartbeats as well. I'm not going to get my hopes up on twins or anything yet. Honestly, my odds are better at having a singleton then anything. My levels are normal, so there is no indication of what it could mean and the nurse said your HCG levels don't typically correlate to anything whenever you do a 5 day transfer. We are perfectly content with one healthy heartbeat!
The nurses sort of hope for 2 for us just because they know this whole ordeal is very rough on my body because of the Crohn's!
Speaking of the Crohn's, I went to my surgeon today. I still have a fissure, which is a concern because we need to keep me as controlled as possible for healthy pregnancy. They changed my diet a little AGAIN and switched me from Colace to Miralax (Yes, that's the colonoscopy prep medicine -just a MUCH smaller dose!) They are taking good care of me...fertility and Crohn's. I'll be seeing either my surgeon or GI on almost a monthly basis and will also see a maternal fetal specialist and maybe my ob/gyn as well. We'll have ultrasounds every 3-4 weeks and they are going to monitor my nutrition for absorption. I'm still doing okay taking Flintstone vitamins and I will still get my Remicade treatments every 8 weeks while pregnant!
All is well, so now I'm taking EXTRA special care of my body so we can have a healthy baby!
13 days until we see our baby's heartbeat! ![]()
