The Maternity Ward
Well Monday I was puking and diarrhea. Dr. Gentry (RE) sent me to the ER for fluids and around 9pm, they admitted me because I was STILL dry! I'm on bag 5 of fluids and counting. And finally started having frequent urination about 8 hours ago (after 3 bags). My GI came in to rule out inflammation. My RE came in and still thinks it's viral and it needs to take it's course. They are keeping me overnight again to keep the fluids running. I've had 2-3 major temperature spikes. One as high as 101.3, with no true explanation. I'm on a full liquid diet. Drinking Boost Breeze w/Sprite and soups. They are sending the high-risk OB in tomorrow and then my RE will be back to see me too. From there, we'll see if I go home or stay longer. Hopefully I get out. BUT, I'm more worried about my babies! That's the concern!
I've seen the nutritionist, several good nurses, my GI, my RE, and one of the best high-risk OBs I'll see tomorrow! I will say the Maternity Ward (although I'm quarantined) is FABULOUS! I have never received this level of care and concern before! ![]()
