The Fetal Care Center of Cincinnati called!!!
So, the Fetal Care Center in Cincinnati has already called!!!!
I about fell over. They have taken all of my information, asked if I needed any means to get to and from, etc. Luckily, my parents have an RV. So, it may just be calling back and finding an RV park. They can tow the car and then we will all have a comfy place to sleep and shower and then go to the hospital as needed. They use the heck out of that RV...never knew it'd be instrumental in something like this...
They will call me back with an appointment date... This all sort of feels like a sign for God that our baby IS okay and that "let's get rolling." I couldn't ask her medical stuff, as she's just the social worker, but she did kind of give me a general assessment of what could/would happen. She said they'd bring me in early for an all day diagnostic testing, which I presumed anyway. Then, at the end of the day, we'd reconvene with the doctors and medical staff. She said bring whomever is our support system with us... and from there they would make sure we have a thorough understanding of our baby's condition and what needs to be done. Then, it is up to us to decide if and when and how quickly to proceed (given the schedule of course), but it sounds as if...the surgery could happen very soon. I'm impressed with this hospital, and I guess that's a really good thing.. because we may be back there many times.. I'm not sure of postnatal care at all with his condition. I think it's a 50/50 shot he'll need serious care afterwards. They are both likely to be NICU babies since Baby A's 2 vessel cord and just being twins will likely cause them to take them earlier than 37 weeks. Noah will need surgery following birth as well.
As for now, still in shock. Blessed to hear back from the FCC. Sounds like some amazing people... I will say this.. This ENTIRE pregnancy..from the first IVF shot and pill.. to this very moment.. has been FILLED with VERY special doctors and nurses... all of whom care about these babies as much as Charley & I..and all of whom care about the health of me as well... I couldn't of lucked into a better set of doctors.. ever...
