7 Months ALREADY?!?!?!

WOW!  This is going to be a LONG post, but a much deserved one!

Addy celebrates her 7 month old birthday today and Reagan celebrates her 7 month birthday in Heaven.

We weighed Addy this evening..... 14lb 2.5oz!!!  She plumped up in the last week!  Not to sound bad, but I hope she JUST hits 15lbs by April 4th or less as that is all the Synagis meds she has left at the doctors office and I really didn't want to have to drop another $150 on more medicines.  I think she'll be close enough that they won't worry about more meds, but yikes!  She gained I think a 1/2 a lb in a week!  Maybe my scale was wrong... ALWAYS a possibility!

So, what is she doing?  Everything!  We had Early Intervention come in to assess her developmental skills.  And, well, just like a Bayer-Burge, she proved them wrong.  She is AT or ABOVE her adjusted age.  They consider her a mere 4 1/2 months old because if she were born at the time she SHOULD of been born, she'd only be 4 1/2 months old, even though she is ACTUALLY 7 months old.  So her developmental progress is based on her adjusted age and not her actual age.  That said, she's ROLLING pretty efficiently.  She's babbling and trying to coo and starting to grab toys and smiles all the time.  She loves her exersaucer and we got a few of her Christmas toys out and although she's not quite ready for some things, she's staring at them intensely wondering when she can get to them.  We have put her on the floor to roll around a few times and we're noticing her scoot on her belly.  You can tell she doesn't KNOW she's doing it, but she's traveling...and...well...are house is NOT babyproofed!  LOL!  So, in the weeks to come, we'll be trying to scrounge everything off the floors, removing all breakables, and putting a mass amount of safe clips throughout the house!  She's a fast learner, THAT'S for sure!

Oh, and we're on solids.  We do lunch and dinner and she's content.  She basically likes her morning bottle and then doesn't eat again until 10-11 and then eats lunch around noon.  So, lunch and dinner work best for her and us.  She gets cereal and a fruit for lunch and cereal and a veggie for dinner.  And, after seeing how ridiculously priced pre-packaged baby food is, I decided to MAKE her baby food.  It's incredibly easy.  I simply steam it, puree it in a blender, and freeze it in ice cube trays and then pop the food out of the ice cube holders and store in a ziploc bag!  It's one of the easiest things I've done and I'm showing a savings of 4x the amount of store bought food!!!  That is nice!  Especially since she's drinking more and more formula and that just hits the pocket book big at $5.58/can and at almost a can a day!  (that's near $175 in formula a month!)  But, she's worth it!  But, she LOVES actual food.  There isn't anything she hasn't liked.  She's had peas, green beans, sweet potatoes, carrots, squash, apples, pears, bananas, and peaches...  and loves them all!  It's nice to have an easy eater right now!  We'll see if it lasts!

Anyway, plenty of photos and videos for you to enjoy!

I couldn't get the GoDaddy account to work, so I had to use YouTube

Here is a video of Addy Rolling.  She first rolled over on Feb 15th while both mommy and daddy were out of town and she did this at Ma & Papa's house!  Ma is quite proud.  They called us both the instant she did it.  She was playing on the floor and they kept rooting for her and then bam..she did it and then they said she pushed up and looked around as if "Oh, how did I get here?"  Now, she's a pro.  If she wants on her belly..it takes NO time!
ADDY ROLLS OVER - OFFICIALLY!

And, many of you have seen her tongue fetish!  She CHEWS on her tongue!  No joke.  You just HAVE to see this video to understand!  Looks like she's chewing gum!
ADDY CHEWS HER TONGUE!

And, Addy loves food, so here's another video.
ADDY EATS DINNER

And, I wouldn't forget photos!   Enjoy these as well!  We certainly have!

Mommy & Addy!  I think she's going to have deep blue eyes like mommy!   YEAH!

So, I'm cute, what's your excuse?  This girl has probably 12 pairs of sunglasses!  I don't think mommy & daddy have 12 pairs of socks between them!  The bib is from our friend Amy.  We love it!

Mommy, are you SURE you are going to feed me?  I'm AWFULLY HUNGRY!

Okay, maybe if I look cute, she'll give me my food quicker...

Look out Hannah Montana, HERE I COME!  Just call me ADDY MARIA.

Oh, the shirt says it ALL!

This is part of mommy & daddy's routine to wear me out.  I eat dinner and play for 15 minutes then get a bath and have a bottle.  I obviously was too tired for the bath AND the bottle!

HI!

I make a lot of funny faces at the camera, but I never let mommy catch too many smiles!  This dress if from our good friends... Brandy & Ryun and my 2 buddies, Rylyn and Kelton!  Don't I look cute?!?!

And, oh yes, mommy made sure to get a blackmail photo for when I'm 16 and stubborn!

And, here is a picture of Reagan's headstone. It's not set yet, but it's almost done. They were awaiting the picture for the front of the stone (near the butterfly). I had a picture of the back of her stone, but my mom was looking at my camera and accidentally erased it. I'll share just as soon as I can. We're hoping it's set by Easter as I made her an Easter floral arrangement but it has a headstone piece so it can't be set in the ground, it needs to go on top her stone.

The stones obviously sit on a larger platform, but they mount that and then set the stones.

We are so blessed and happy. We still mourn Reagan greatly, but it gets a little better each day. I'm sure their 1st birthday will be so very tough, but we are so thankful that we have Addy to love on as she is and always will be a piece of Reagan!

Kaycie- Addy is getting SO big and if it is possible cuter and cuter every time I see her- and I think a bit of a diva! The eating sounds great and making your food is so much healthier anyway- that was what we had planned to do- when I was a nanny my mom had gotten my this great cook book- I got it for both mom's for Christmas- the preemie (he was a former 24wker) mom used it a lot when we finally started solids- it has recipes for the entire family that you can use for baby too- The Baby Cookbook, Revised Edition: Tasty And Nutritious Meals For The Whole Family That Babies And Toddlers Will Also Love (Paperback)
by Jeannie Lumley (Author), Karin Knight (Author)- there are both good and bad reviews on the Amazon.com site- but I think people were looking for the basic puree the boiled carrots and mashed and feed your baby the same old bland diet that your great-great grandmother had 100 years ago- that is not what this is- this does have a few odd recipes- the family is scandinavian- but it also has tons of wonderful recipes that I have tried and used that are really nutritious and loved by babies. Just a thought.
The stones look beautiful- they did an amazing job on them- once they are completely finished and set they will look amazing! They are truly a fitting tribute to Reagan! Sending you all lots of love and keeping you all in my thoughts- take care!

Such cute pics! BTW, she looks just like you, Kaycie! I miss Fertility friend, but I got so busy that I was having less and less time to check it. Glad you have a website so we can keep in touch. Take care! Laura (Ayla's mommy)

I LOVE it! I wish I would have thought to put me & Nick's names on the girls' stone. I can't wait to see what it looks like with Reagan's picture.
