Surreal, it very much is so.

3 years of infertility, 7 rounds of Clomid, 2 rounds of injectables, a Crohn's diagnosis, 2 IVFs (In-Vitro Fertilizations), Pregnant with triplets (Baby C was a blighted ovum), Delivered twin girls at 29 weeks, lost my daughter after 1hour and 27min, buried my firstborn, spent 9 beautiful months with my 2nd daugter....

4 years after we "began" trying to have a child, I celebrate my very first Mother's Day.  I am a mommy.  I am the mother of 2 beautiful girls that hold my heart forever.  As I sat on the couch today and watched Addy sleep next to me, I could just imagine Reagan sleeping right next to her.  She was there today too. 

We didn't do anything today.  Charley made breakfast and he picked up take-out and ran and got Addy some formula (She's still on Enfacare 22 - expensive!).  I lounged, cleaned, put away some laundry, made Addy some more homemade baby food.  I enjoyed just being able to stay home and accomplish something. 

What a bittersweet day!  Every holiday is just so, bittersweet.
